Former minister Moreira Franco is expected to meet this Wednesday (8) in Brasília with leaders of and from centrão parties at the launch of his new book, “Politics as destiny – Paths and deviations of redemocratization”.
With more than a thousand pages, the work brings together behind-the-scenes accounts of political articulations and revisits moments of the New Republic and its crises. The book has prefaces by former presidents and José Sarney.
The event, scheduled for Casa ParlaMento, should bring together names such as the national president of the MDB, Baleia Rossi, the former ministers Jader Filho and Renan Filho, the TCU minister Vital do Rêgo Filho and the emedebista senators Alessandro Vieira (SE) and Renan Calheiros (AL).
The book consists of more than one hundred hours of interviews conducted by sociologist Aspásia Camargo, with the collaboration of philosopher Denis Rosenfield.
Moreira held several positions, such as governor of Rio de Janeiro and minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency and of Mines and Energy, in the Temer government.
