Boston/Washington – A US federal judge on Wednesday (local time) stopped President Donald Trump’s administration’s plan to end protected status for more than 5,000 Ethiopians. This status allows them to live and work legally in the United States. A judge in Boston said the president’s will could not override the laws enacted by Congress. The government’s justification for ending protection is pretextual.
