According to him, based on a party convention, which should take place between July and August, he will decide whether or not to run for the present a new program for the country. “I’m going to have to present something new for this country, something bigger,” he said in an interview with the ICL Notícias website.

Despite the statement that he has not yet decided whether he will be a candidate or not, when asked whether it is necessary to wait until July to declare himself as a pre-candidate for President, Lula admitted that he will probably run in the elections. “Everyone knows that it is unlikely that I will stop being a candidate”, he commented.
