Vienna – Social Affairs Minister Korinna Schumann (SPÖ) announced to the APA on Friday a change in the law regarding assessments at the Pensionsversicherungsanstalt (PVA). In response to an APA request, the PVA had previously stated that there was still no legal right to have a confidant accompanied “in assessments in connection with occupational incapacity and disability”: “It is up to the legislature to change this.” Schumann now wants to take appropriate steps.
