The councils issued a joint resolution authorizing the payment of aid whose extinction was determined by the STF
The National Council of Justice (CNJ) and the National Council of the Public Ministry (CNMP) approved on Thursday (9) a joint resolution to regulate payments of housing benefit and early childhood and maternity protection bonus to judges and members of the Public Ministry (MP). However, by decision of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the benefits, called “penduricalhos”, should be extinguished.
The joint resolution also validated authorizations for payment of paid leave for courses abroad and of bonus for course fees or competition which were granted until March 30th, the date on which the minutes of the Supreme Court judgment were published. These two benefits should also be cut after the STF decision.
Judgment
On March 25, unanimously, the Supreme Court ministers decided that the additional compensation, bonuses and assistance must be limited to 35% of the salary of STF ministerswhich has the here as a reference and is equivalent to R$ 46.3 thousand.
That way, judges, prosecutors and prosecutors will be able to earn at least R$62.5 thousand per monthadding the ceiling and R$ 16.2 thousand in “hangings”.
At the end of your career, salary can reach R$78,800with the payment of allowance for length of service (ATS), which was also limited to 35% of the ceiling.
Restrictions
The CNJ reported that the payment of housing assistance will only apply to magistrates in advisory positions in courts and which are not in their original capacity.
About early childhood protection bonus for judges and members of the MP, the council reported that the measure “promotes material equality and social protection for womenwho still face pay inequalities”.
