“Fulanizing is very easy. People are fallible. The important thing is to have strong institutions,” said the PT president.

According to him, “we should be debating reform of the Judiciary so that failures stop occurring.”

The PT leader considered, however, that changes should strengthen Justice: “There is no point in weakening the Judiciary if there is no democracy without the Judiciary.”

Edinho Silva is the third national PT leader to make critical comments to the Judiciary in the last week, amid the case crisis. Members of the government (PT) have assessed that the wear and tear of Supreme Court ministers due to the financial scandal could affect the PT candidacy electorally.
