The businessman criticized the press and excessive bureaucracy in the country when receiving an award this Thursday (9) at the Freedom Forum, a liberal event in (RS).
A supporter of the former president (PL), Hang, owner of the Havan chain of stores, stayed away from the public debate during the Lula government, but broke his silence upon receiving the honor. He did not speak directly about the presidential candidates
“Freedom of expression should be the number 1 thing the press should defend. But the majority of the press is either pro-government or works for the left,” said Hang, dressed in his traditional green and yellow attire.
He added that “thank God we have social media today”, to provide a counterpoint to the press.
He said he was a victim of the media and that he helped pay for it. He said it was “the biggest lie” anyone had told about him.
“For the press, everything is valid, for the citizen, nothing is valid. For them, there is freedom of expression, for me it is not valid”, he declared.
When mentioning the problems he had in opening a store in Rio Grande (RS), due to delays in licensing, he criticized the excessive bureaucracy. “The problem is that the justice system is also leftist,” he said.
The businessman, according to him, is “the hero who wakes up early every day to do the impossible”. Excited, he swore to reinforce his argument. “Fuck the others, fuck the Brazilian people, fuck the jobs.”
At the end of his speech, Hang made a veiled reference to the election. “We are going to change our Brazil. If the laws were made by men, we can change the laws by men. We just need to choose the right people”, he declared, to applause.
