Khamenei: "We do not seek war but we do not retreat from our rights"

It does not seek war but will not retreat from its rights, the supreme leader of Iran said in a new message.

However, he said Iran would enter a “new phase in the management of the Straits of Hormuz”, while promising to demand war reparations.

“The heroic nation of Iran, you have been the decisive victors of this battlefield. Iran today is at the dawn of its emergence as a great power,” Khamenei said, adding that “we will not abandon the criminals who attacked our country.”

At the same time, he said that Iran will demand compensation “for any damage and for the blood of the martyrs” of the country, while adding that “we are still waiting for the appropriate reaction from our southern neighbors, so that we can show you our brotherhood”.

However, Khamenei stressed that Iran is determined to avenge the deceased supreme leader and his “martyrs”, stressing that the people should not leave the streets despite “negotiations with the enemy”.

Trump: ‘I’m very optimistic about a deal with Iran – They are defeated and have no army’

US President Donald Trump has expressed optimism about reaching a deal with Iran, while a US diplomatic mission led by Vice President Jay D. Vance prepares to travel to Pakistan for crucial talks aimed at ending the nearly six-week conflict.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump said he was “very optimistic” about the prospect of an agreement, pointing out that the attitude of the Iranian side differs markedly in private contacts compared to public positions.

The American president said: “They speak very differently when they are in a meeting compared to what they say to the press. They are much more reasonable.” At the same time, he claimed that they “agree on everything they have to agree on”, adding that they “have been defeated” and “have no army”.

At the same time, he warned that, in case there is no agreement, “it will be very painful”.
