The first lady of USA, Melania Trumpdenied this Thursday in an unusual public appearance that he had a close relationship with the financial magnate and sexual offender. Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwellin what was his first public statement since the focus returned to the case of the deceased pederast last year.
“The lies that link me to the infamous Jeffrey Epstein must end today,” said the former model in a statement to the media made at the White House in which she also assured that she did not know her husband, the president Donald Trumpthrough the influential advisor of great fortunes. “I am not a victim of Epstein,” said Melania Trump.
Melania Trump urges the US Congress to “act” in the Epstein case. And he goes further by stating that those involved in the scandal may be many more: “Epstein was not the only one. Of course, this does not imply guilt, but we must still work with openness and transparency to uncover the truth.”
Appeal to Congress
“I call on Congress to provide women who were victims of Epstein a public hearing focused specifically on survivors. Give these victims the opportunity to testify under oath before Congress, with the authority that sworn testimony provides. Each woman should have her day to tell her story in public, if she chooses, and her testimony should be permanently recorded in the Congressional Record.
Epstein was arrested in 2019, accused by federal justice of sex trafficking of minors. His death in 2019 in a Manhattan cell was ruled a suicide.
In the statement, Melania Trump directly attacks those who have wanted to link her directly to Epstein: “Those who lie about me lack ethics, humility and respect. I do not reproach their ignorance, but rather I reject their petty attempts to defame my reputation. I have never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time, as it is common to run into the same social circles in New York City and Palm Beach. To be clear, I never had any relationship with Epstein or with his accomplice, Maxwell. My email response to Maxwell cannot be considered more than an informal correspondence. My polite response is nothing more than a trivial note.”
“Fake” stories
According to Melania’s statement, numerous false images and statements about Epstein and her “have been circulating on social media for years.” “Be careful what you believe. These images and stories are completely false,” reiterates the US first lady.
Melania Trump recalls that she has not been a witness or been mentioned as a witness in relation to any of Epstein’s crimes: “My name has never appeared in court documents, affidavits, victim testimonies or FBI interviews related to the Epstein case,” she says. Furthermore, he confesses that he never had any knowledge of Epstein’s abuses against his victims” and says that he did not travel on Epstein’s plane or visit his private island.
“My lawyers and I have successfully combated these baseless and baseless lies, and we will continue to defend my impeccable reputation without hesitation.
