Tarcísio invests in intimate meetings with mayors and completes tour in 45 days

The governor of São Paulo changed the tone of events called ‘Caranava 3D’ and will release funds for tourism

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), changed the tone of meetings with mayors in recent weeks. Closer to the election period, visits to municipalities, normally called “3D Caravan”, have taken on a more intimate tone, with lunches and informal conversations with both Tarcísio himself, the vice-governor, Felício Ramuth, and a series of secretaries.

The changes to the 3D Caravan event meetings, in which various state management actions for the regions are presented, were made in a kind of test, initially, in Vale do Paraíba. Then, since last Wednesday (8), the meetings have taken place in Campinas, totaling 132 cities so far.

At these lunches, mayors have been asked about the main bottleneck or demand in the area, and an agreement has been released for each city. If the problem is in Housing, for example, the place can establish a partnership with the state program Casa Paulista, and so on.

For the next 45 days, as the model has been considered good internally, visits are still planned to the regions of Bauru, Vale do Ribeira, Greater São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto and also the Center. Furthermore, an event is scheduled for next week with 218 mayors of Tourist Resorts Municipalities of Tourist Interest (MITs), to release R$300 million reais for the sector, something that had been pointed out as an overdue transfer by some municipalities.
