The mayor of Sorocaba (SP), (Republicans), declared in an interview with Poder360 which will support the re-election of (Republicans) to the government of São Paulo and the election of (PL) to the Presidency of the Republic in 2026.
“I’m just another soldier who goes to work respecting all the other candidates. Respecting President Lula, respecting the [Ronaldo] Whitewashed and respecting any other candidate who will become president. My profile is not one of attack”, said the politician on Wednesday (8.Apr.2026).

Manga gave up trying for elected office this year. The decision was taken after corruption investigations hit his administration in the city of São Paulo hard. He, however, denies that this had any influence on his withdrawal.
“Even though I don’t hold a position other than mayor, I want to contribute to other city halls, to other states, so that the population can experience what the city of Sorocaba experiences”, declared.
The São Paulo politician gained national relevance by producing short, relaxed videos for and for . He has a combined 7.2 million followers on these platforms.
Manga had been out of office since November 6 due to accusations of corruption in municipal health contracts. on March 31st by decision of the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court Nunes Marques, who understood that there had been a “excessive intervention” in the city.
“I want to thank the Supreme Court, Minister Kassio Nunes, who provided justice in our lives, in our political trajectory, and managed to correct this excess”, said the mayor in the interview.
