Head of the Union in São Paulo, former councilor Milton Leite reacted with incredulity to the Piauí senator’s plan in the state of São Paulo.
Ciro’s appointment was brought forward by the Panel this Saturday (11).
“Ciro has our respect, but there was never even a chance of him leading, and especially Maurício Neves. If that happens, União in São Paulo will implode”, said Milton.
The idea behind placing the Piauí native as president in São Paulo is to put an end to one. Milton and Neves have been needling each other behind the scenes.
Milton sees Ciro’s appointment as a carte blanche from the federation for Neves, who has stated that the Union chief’s political style is already ‘outdated’.
Another point in favor of União, according to Milton’s allies, is that it only has Neves as deputy, with Delegado Da Cunha and Fausto Pinato going to União itself, and Delegate Bruno Lima migrating to Podemos.
