Nunes did not send projects to the Chamber this year – 04/12/2026 – Panel

The mayor of , (), has not yet sent any bill to the vote

The expectation is that the first will only be delivered from April 15th, regarding the budget guidelines (LDO). Councilors from the mayor’s base have criticized the Executive’s inertia and complained that, given the arrangements for the October elections, the Chamber is in limbo.

In previous years, the Executive delivers its first proposal at the beginning of the legislative year, at the beginning of February.

Of the 55 councilors, around 15 are expected to run for elections in October, either for Alesp (São Paulo Legislative Assembly) or Chamber of Deputies.

The Nunes administration told the Panel that a relevant part of public policies is implemented through decrees.

“The City of São Paulo informs that the proposed laws are forwarded to the municipal Legislature according to the needs of the administration, and there is, therefore, no standard flow over the years”, says the city hall, in a note.

Among the candidates for the October elections are Ana Carolina Oliveira (Podemos), Lucas Pavanato (PL), Luna Zarattini (PT), Amanda Vettorazzo (União), Rubinho Nunes (União), Adrilles Jorge (União), Cris Monteiro (Novo), Eliseu Gabriel (PSB), Marina Bragante (PSB), Nabil Bonduki (PT), Sandra Alves (União), Sandra Santana (MDB), Sonaira Fernandes (PL), Sergeant Nantes (PP), Zoe Martínez (PL) and Keith Lima (PSOL).

Due to the elections, the mayor had to look for a successor for the Civil Secretary, Enrico Misasi, who left the department to run for election. Nunes appointed Paulo Frange (MDB), who was a substitute in the Chamber.
