Washington/Los Angeles – Democratic member of the US House of Representatives, Eric Swalwell, has announced his resignation due to rape allegations. “I am deeply sorry to my family, my employees and my voters for the wrong decisions I have made in the past,” he said on Monday on the online service X. Swalwell had already suspended his campaign for the office of governor of California over the weekend.
