Brussels – The responsible budget committee of the EU Parliament defined its position on the future multi-year EU budget 2028-2034 in Brussels on Wednesday: MEPs want ten percent more money than the two trillion euros that the Commission proposed in July 2025. The parliamentarians also rejected the Commission’s plans to delegate more responsibility for the distribution of funds to the member states.
