See how each senator from the Organized Crime CPI voted – 04/14/2026 – Politics

I read Organized Crime the report by senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) who proposed the indictment of the ministers of the (Federal Supreme Court), and the head of the (Attorney General’s Office), .

The opinion was rejected by 6 votes to 4.

Vieira attributed crimes of responsibility to the three ministers and the attorney general, which could support impeachment requests. The rapporteur states that Moraes and Toffoli acted “in a manner incompatible” with the honor, dignity and decorum of their functions due to the relationship they maintained with Banco Master.

Regarding Gilmar Mendes, he points out that the minister would have suspended breaches of confidentiality by the CPI to protect his colleagues. Regarding Gonet, he says that the head of the PGR stopped investigating authorities involved in the Master case.

The Lula government (PT), the president of , Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP), and ministers of the STF are members of the commission to shield the magistrates.

As shown by Sheetthe government’s account was that the report could be approved by 6 votes to 5. Three members of the CPI were changed on the eve of the vote. Opposition names and opponents of the STF were replaced by government names.

Senators Sergio Moro (PL-PR) and Marcos do Val (Avante-ES) left. They were replaced by Teresa Leitão (PT-PE) and Beto Faro (PT-PA). Senator Soraya Thronicke (PSB-MS) was a substitute and became a member, replacing Senator Jorge Kajuru (PSB-GO) – who was transferred to the substitute position.

With rejection, the report loses legal validity and will not be forwarded to other instances.

The CPI was created last year to investigate organized crime, after the most lethal police action in history, in Rio de Janeiro, which killed more than 100 people. The senators, however, began to use the commission to overcome resistance to the creation of a specific CPI to investigate Banco Master and its relations with authorities, especially STF ministers.
