Israeli fire killed at least 11 Palestinians, including two children, in separate cases in the Gaza Strip this Tuesday (14), according to local health authorities.
Four people, including a three-year-old boy, Yahya Al-Malahi, were killed in an attack that targeted one in Gaza City, the Hamas-run Interior Ministry said. A police officer was among the dead, while nine other people were injured, some seriously, according to the ministry.
In the north of the enclave, near Jabalia, Israeli fire killed 14-year-old Adam Ahmed Halaa, according to health authorities and the young man’s family.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on either case.
Later on Tuesday, a cafe in Beach camp, west of Gaza City, killed at least five people and injured several others, according to health authorities.
An Israeli military spokesman said the attack targeted a Hamas fighter.
At Gaza’s largest hospital, Al Shifa, family members rushed to say goodbye to the dead.
Carrying her young son in her arms, Mukhlis Al-Malahi said they were leaving a relative’s wedding when an Israeli plane attacked the police vehicle.
“We got close to the intersection of Timraz and Nafaq (street), then suddenly we saw something hitting us. They hit a police vehicle while we were walking,” said the father, whose shirt was stained with his son’s blood.
“What is his fault? What is his crime? He should have been wearing a wedding suit at his cousin’s house today, but instead he wore a white cloth stained with blood,” shouted the boy’s cousin, Hader Al-Malahi.
In northern Gaza, the Israeli military said it killed a man who approached the armistice line with Hamas, describing him as an armed combatant.
Health officials confirmed that a man had been killed in the area, without providing details.
