Civil Police indict Grêmio leader for racial insult at GreNal

The Civil Police indicted, in a decision released this Wednesday (15), the football executive of the Women’s GuildBárbara Fonseca, for committing racial insults. The incident would have occurred in the classic with Internacional, played at the end of March, by Brazilian Championship.

The investigation began after a complaint from a supporter of the Camisa 12 group, linked to Inter, who reported that he had been the victim of a speech made by Bárbara Fonseca: “Monkey, son of a bitch”.

In a statement, Grêmio reiterated its “conviction in the version presented by the executive that there was no racial offense at any time.”

Both the Rio Grande do Sul club and the leader were covered by article 243-G of the Brazilian Code of Sports Justice.

The player could lose field command and even points, in addition to a possible fine of R$100,000.

Bárbara Fonseca, in turn, could be suspended for up to one year, in addition to the fine for the same amount mentioned above.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has requested and is awaiting a decision for the executive to be preventively suspended until the trial.

The Grêmio leader has spent time at América-MG, before moving to the club from Rio Grande do Sul.
