Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), voted this Friday (17) in favor of the conviction of Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) for defamation against federal deputy Tabata Amaral (PSB-SP). The magistrate is the rapporteur of the case at the Supreme Court.
Moraes rejected the defense arguments about parliamentary immunity and restriction of defense, concluding that the defendant disseminated false information to attack the parliamentarian’s honor on social media.
