Soybean exports in April could reach 16.6 million tons

Soybean exports in April could reach 16.68 million tons, according to estimates by Anec (National Association of Cereal Exporters). This volume would represent a jump of 23% compared to the total exported in the same period in 2025 (13.49 million tons).

The association considers a range in exported volume between 14.9 million and 16.6 million tons of soybeans, depending on the pace of the ports.

According to this survey, the total volume of grains shipped in the month could reach 19.7 million tons, an increase of 25% compared to the total exported in April 2025 (15.7 million tons).

Anec also estimates a 23% increase in total shipments of soybean meal in the month compared to April 2025, potentially exceeding 2.7 million tons.

In this survey, the projection for corn exports in the month was set at 191 thousand tons, a significant increase compared to the same period in 2025.

According to the association, shipments in the month already total 143 thousand tons, practically three times more than the total exported in April 2025 (48.2 thousand tons).

In this survey, Anec also stipulated exports of DDGS (151.78 thousand tons) and sorghum (35.17 thousand tons) in the month.

Main destinations

Since the beginning of the year, China has accounted for 75% of Brazil’s soybean sales, followed by Spain (5%) and Türkiye (4%).

In corn shipments, Egypt (29%) overtook Vietnam and Iran, both with 20%, as the main destination. The drop in exports to Iran reflects the consequences of the conflict in the Middle East for the sector.

Kenya (24%) and Vietnam (20%) lead wheat imports, while Indonesia (21%) and Thailand (12%) are the main destinations for Brazilian soybean meal.
