A five-story luxury apartment in Monaco yielded the largest single real estate transaction ever undertakenacquired for an impressive 471 million euros — the equivalent of R$2.76 billion.

The apartment is located in the Mareterra district, due to its small size and its tax haven characteristic.

According to data obtained by Bloomberg Businessweek, in total, the beachfront property of the “Le Renzo” building has 21 rooms, five floors, approximately 2,500 m², plus balconies and terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is also a private pool, jacuzzi and at least eight parking spaces.

The development was built over a decade on land in Monaco and includes semi-detached houses and apartments, spread across gardens, a port, as well as public space.

Akhmetov’s purchase, completed in 2024, surpasses the transaction of more than US$350 million for the sale of developer Nick Candy’s mansion in Chelsea, an upscale neighborhood in New York, in the United States, previously considered the most valuable transaction on the market.
