A petition was announced on Wednesday in which over 1,100 musicians, from Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters to Peter Gabriel to the British band Massive Attack, called for a boycott of the Vienna Song Contest because of Israel’s participation. But a contrary open letter has now brought together over 1,000 well-known artists who, in turn, are in favor of Israel’s participation in the competition and against a boycott.
