“Brazilians are programmed to create confusion,” says Trump envoy

One of Donald Trump’s government’s special envoys for global partnerships, Paolo Zampolli, declared, during an interview on Thursday (23), that Brazilian women are “programmed” to cause confusion.

“Brazilian women, even those here, are programmed to cause problems,” said Zampolli in conversation with the Italian channel RAI.

The statement from Trump’s envoy was made in response to a question about the accusations made by Amanda Ungaro, a former Brazilian model and former companion of his for around 20 years.

Zampolli is accused of physical, psychological and sexual assault. Ungaro reported being punched in the face when he refused sexual intercourse and presented photos of bruises as evidence. He denies the accusations and says she tries to harm him.

The envoy also related the behavior of Brazilians to the consumption of soap operas: “Brazilians watch soap operas and they are all a bit like that. You’ve heard that Brazilian women fool everyone, right? It’s not like it’s the first time.”

Ungaro also accuses her ex-partner of influencing the Trump administration to deport her from the United States, preventing her from seeing the couple’s son.

Zampolli was confronted in the interview about connections with Jeffrey Epstein, an American businessman convicted of sexual crimes, who died in 2019, after an email exchange.

Epstein case documents show that the two tried to buy a modeling agency at an auction. The Italian, owner of the ID Models agency, claims that the businessman approached him for the purchase, which was not completed.

He denies any involvement in Epstein’s sexual crimes, claiming the businessman used the fashion industry as a cover-up crimes committed against minors.
