Uranus entered Taurus in 2018. Back then, everyone was predicting that Uranus would completely transform the financial system, that everything would become digital, that cryptocurrencies would replace global currencies and so on. Now it’s 2026, we’re right at the end of the transit, and your morning coffee still isn’t paid for in Bitcoin. In fact, the asset that saw the most growth during Uranus in Taurus was gold, that “boring” haven that everyone thought was outdated.
The irony is that Uranus, the planet of innovation and disruption, in Taurus, the sign of material resources and tradition, has come to reward the oldest form of money, not the newest. Was the financial system shaken? To an extent, yes, but not necessarily in the ways we imagined. If anything, we could argue that financial markets have become more immune to volatility, reacting less dramatically to economic shocks, global events or geopolitical shifts.

Uranus in Taurus just didn’t seem to “give a damn” about what was going on in the world. The financial system saw its inner rhythm. So what does this tell us about how Uranus actually operates? Uranus’ role is not to impose the “new” but to stress test existing systems so that what is truly solid survives and what is built on narrative or speculation is exposed.
Uranus does not necessarily bring the future that people imagine. He dismantles the fantasies that people project on the future.
Uranus comes, stirs things up, creates chaos, and in doing so makes us aware that change is the only constant in life. And as a result of this awareness, we become more resilient and better equipped to withstand volatility and crises. Many people who lost their jobs during Covid have retrained, changed direction or started their own businesses. In many ways, Uranus in Taurus pushed us to become more independent, and with that came even more freedom than we had before.

Uranus is not here to bring Technology to Earth. Uranus’s fundamental role is to help us shed what is outdated so that we can live more freely, authentically, and in alignment with what is real.
And sometimes what we call progress or innovation, even if it solves some problems, may very well create new ones.
