Video focuses on working mothers and seeks to reverse the drop in the president’s approval among women
The (Workers’ Party) placed the president (PT) as the protagonist of its new party insertion on open TV, in the newspapers of the Band and from Globo, this Friday (April 24, 2026). In the video, which is already being shown nationally, Lula defends the end of the 6 x 1 working day and asks for approval from the female electorate.
In the publication, Lula addresses working mothers. “In Brazil, many mothers leave home to work early, with their children still asleep, and return late, with their children already in bed. Work cannot separate mother and children“, states the president. He adds, in the recording, that the party proposes the end of the current scale “without the salary cut”.

PROCEDURE IN CONGRESS
The airing of the commercial occurs at a time when the issue is advancing in the Legislature. The president of the Chamber of Deputies, (Republicanos-PB), created, this Friday (April 24), the special commission to discuss PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) 221 of 2019, which deals with the end of the 6 X 1 work schedule.
The commission will have 38 full deputies and the same number of substitutes. According to the act signed by Motta and published in the Gazette of the Chamber of Deputies, the collegiate will rotate between the benches not included.
