Bolsonaros makes the worst policy in the country’s history, says Haddad

Pre-candidate for the government of SP says that the party cannot consider the hypothesis of a “setback” in 2026

The former Minister of Finance and pre-candidate for the government of the State of São Paulo, (PT), said this Sunday (26.Apr.2026) that the Bolsonaro family “It sells itself as anti-system, but for 30 years it has been the worst policy in the history of this country”. The statement was made at the 8th National Congress of the Workers’ Party, held at the Hotel Brasil 21, in Brasília.

Regarding the 2026 elections, the former minister said that the party “you cannot consider the hypothesis of a setback in October this year”. Haddad said that Lula will compete with “Bolsonarinho”, in reference to the pre-candidate (PL), from a family that “it only brought chaos to this country”.

The pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo declared that the PT is “the antidote, the answer and the strength that does not admit stopping moving forward”.

During the congress, the party approved the new manifesto, aiming both to expand the base for the re-election of the president (PT) and to maintain the party’s identity. The meeting started on Friday (24th April) and ends this Sunday (26th April). Ministers, former ministers, congressmen and pre-candidates were present throughout the event.
