Search made at the request of Banco BTG Pactual, released this Monday (April 27, 2026), indicates that the president’s government (PT) is disapproved by 49% of the population. Another 46% say they approve of the PT administration. Here’s the (PDF – 2 MB).
Nexus asked the following: “And, in general, would you say you approve or disapprove of the work that President Lula has been doing?”.
Here are the answers:
- disapprove – 49%;
- approve – 46%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 5%.
Nexus also wanted to know how voters evaluate the government: “How do you evaluate President Lula’s government? Would you say it is great, good, average, bad or terrible?”.
Read the answers:
- excellent – 14%;
- bom – 19%;
- regular – 23%;
- roomy – 8%;
- terrible – 35%;
- don’t know/didn’t answer – 1%.
2,028 voters were interviewed from April 24 to 26, 2026. The margin of error is 2 (pp) percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence interval. Registration with the TSE is BR-01075/2026. The survey cost R$ 164,888.89 and was paid by Banco BTG Pactual SA
