OpenAI’s ambitions are not limited to software. Together with Apple design legend Jony Ive, the company also wants to revolutionize the hardware industry. A device that is intended to follow the smartphone as the “next big thing” that is always helpful without having the negative side effects of a smartphone. Ive and OpenAI boss Sam Altman described it so vaguely about a year ago, but the status of information remains unclear to this day.
