The controversial golf series LIV-Tour will have to do without billion-dollar support from Saudi Arabia by the end of August at the latest. The sovereign wealth fund PIF said on Thursday that it would only support LIV financially for the remainder of the playing year, further explaining: “The significant investments that LIV Golf requires in the long term are no longer compatible with the current phase of PIF’s investment strategy.”
