The Government of Pernambuco informed, through Apac (Pernambuco Water and Climate Agency), that it continues to monitor the situation of rivers in the state. Right now, eight rivers are under a hydrological flood warning and another seven remain on alert.
Monitoring takes place amid the impacts caused by heavy rains in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. There were at least four deaths related to the storm and the mobilization of rescue teams throughout the day.
According to a balance sheet released at 6 p.m., 16 occurrences of isolated people. Of this total, six cases were still ongoing at the time of the update. Also according to the corporation, 340 victims had been rescued by the time of the survey.

Among the most serious incidents is a burial in Recife. At the scene, two adults and two children were hit. Two victims were rescued alive and two died. The mayor of Recife reported that the victims are a mother and son.
“I have just had confirmation that a mother and her son did not survive their injuries after a landslide in Dois Unidos. I sympathize with the family and reinforce that we will continue with more than 3,500 agents mobilized throughout the city”, he stated.
In the Passarinho neighborhood, also in the capital of Pernambuco, firefighters were responding to a barrier slip. An adult and a baby died.
The city entered the alert stage this Friday due to intense rain. The level change takes into account both meteorological conditions and the increase in the number of occurrences related to water accumulation.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), the most affected areas include the Metropolitan Region of Recife, Mata Pernambucana and Agreste Pernambucano, in addition to neighboring regions.
Municipality of Olinda
The municipality of Olinda has already accumulated almost 200 millimeters of rain since last Thursday (30). According to the city hall, there were registered three landslides in the city.
The incidents took place in Alto da Conquista, Alto da Kindness by you Passarinho Road. Teams from the Civil Defense and Military Fire Department of Pernambuco are on site, adopting measures to ensure the safety of the population.

The total number of injuries in the state is five people, and the number of deaths reaches four. In all, 11 shelters are in operation to serve the affected population.
