Volume under current management is 16 times higher than the period from 2011 to 2022; government delivered another 42 new rural documents at Agrishow 2026
The government of São Paulo issued 5,375 rural documents between 2023 and the 1st quarter of 2026 – a volume 16 times greater than the 331 rural documents delivered during the entire period from 2011 to 2022.
Last Monday (April 27, 2026), during the opening of the , another 42 rural titles were delivered, around 20 thousand hectares. The action is coordinated by the Department of Agriculture and Supply, through Itesp (Fundação Instituto de Terras do Estado de São Paulo), and reinforces a cycle that already reaches more than 250 thousand hectares regularized.
According to the São Paulo government, the program adds public investments of more than R$20 million since 2023, with revenue exceeding R$300 million, which will be used for agrarian and land policies in the countryside.
SMALL AND MEDIUM PRODUCERS
Of the rural total issued since 2023, 90% was allocated to small and medium-sized producers. In detail by size, 4,716 titles refer to small properties, 207 to medium and large properties, 442 to rural properties (land owned by the State) and 10 actions for regularization and recognition of quilombola territories.
In the urban totals delivered only by Itesp, the program totals 7,179 titles since 2023, most of them (7,122) by Reurb (Urban Land Regularization), aimed at formalizing consolidated centers of social interest.
Considering rural and urban delivered by Fundação Itesp in management, the total reaches more than 12,000 titles in 3 years and in the 1st quarter of 2026.
Pontal do Paranapanema and Vale do Ribeira, regions historically marked by greater vulnerability and legal insecurity, concentrate deliveries during the period.
The state government’s goal is to own 100% of rural settlements by the end of 2026.
