The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Sunday that three people have died on a cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean, one of whom was confirmed to be infected with the hantavirus.

“To date, one case of hantavirus infection has been laboratory confirmed and there are five other suspected cases of this infection,” said the WHO for the AFP news agency.
“Of the six people affected, three have died and one is currently in intensive care in South Africa,” WHO added in a statement.
