The proposal to reduce working hours with the end of the 6×1 scale has majority support in the country and does not encounter resistance concentrated in a single political camp. A survey by the Real Time Big Data Institute shows that 71% of Brazilians are in favor of the change, while 26% are against it and 6% were unable to respond.
Support remains high even when the selection is made based on voting intentions for the Presidency of the Republic. Among the voters of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), 84% support the change in the day, compared to 14% who reject the proposal. In the group that declares its vote for Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), the majority also remains in favor, with 59% in support, while 30% are opposed.
The pattern is repeated among other pre-candidates. Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) voters register 66% approval and 25% rejection. In the case of Ciro Gomes (PSDB), support reaches 68%, with 26% against. These numbers indicate that the agenda finds relevant support in different segments of the electorate.
The most balanced scenarios appear between the voters of Romeu Zema (Novo) and Renan Santos (Missão). In the first group, 52% support the end of the 6×1 scale, while 45% reject it. Among Renan voters, the approval rate is 56%, with 43% against.
The data indicate that the discussion about working hours tends to gain centrality in the electoral debate, with the potential to mobilize voters of different profiles and influence the candidates’ economic and social agenda.
The research was carried out between May 2nd and 4th, with 2,000 interviews across the country. The margin of error is two percentage points, with a 95% confidence level. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court under number BR-03627/2026.
