And now something rare: this woman gave birth to quadruplets after having difficulties getting pregnant

An Australian family went from three to seven members in a matter of minutes, with the arrival of quadruplets.

Amber, Amon, Amy and Amana were born at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) at 32 weeks and three days of pregnancy, this Tuesday.

“The babies’ births were very well planned, so we have complex care teams, maternal-fetal medicine teams and all of our multidisciplinary teams working together,” Jourdin Ross, nurse and midwifery coordinator at KEMH, explains to Seven News.

“The first was born at 10:16 and the fourth at 10:20”, says his father, Emmanuel, who has been married to Belinda for 16 years. Before this rare event, the couple had difficulty getting pregnant, so they turned to in vitro fertilization, transferring two embryos that turned into four healthy babies.
