SC Braga players were unable to hide their emotions after their elimination against Freiburg in the Europa League semi-finals.
Despite the 3-1 defeat in Germany, the Arsenal fans who traveled to the Europa-Park Stadion made a point of recognizing the team’s effort and applauded the players at the end of the match.
The fans’ gesture ended up moving several members of the Minho squad. João Moutinho, Víctor Gómez and Ricardo Horta were some of the players who ended up in tears in the stands where the Braga fans were.
Coach Carlos Vicens also thanked the support received, on a night marked by the frustration of elimination, but also by the strong bond between team and fans.
