Isaquias Queiroz wins silver at the Canoeing World Cup in Hungary

Isaquias Queiroz was second best in the C1 500m final at the Canoeing World Cupin Szeged (Hungary). The race was held this Saturday morning (Brasília time).

Circus owner with Olympic medals, the Brazilian led a good part of the race and was only surpassed at the end by the Chinese Bowen JI. The Bahian completed the distance in 1min44s73. The Chinese clocked a time of 1min44s43.

Another Brazilian, Gabriel Nascimento, came in 7th place.

This is the opening of the World Tour of the sport and is the first one counting towards qualifying for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

The 2026 season includes two more stages of the World Cup and the World Championship.
