Almost 1,300 people gathered in a stadium in the United States to learn cardiac resuscitation techniques and achieved a Guinness World Record.
Acrisure Stadium, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, usually receives euphoric fans. This time, the objective was different: saving lives. Almost 1,300 people participated in a huge hands-only cardiac resuscitation class and broke a Guinness world record.
For an hour, participants learned the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), a technique that can make a difference until doctors arrive. In between, there was concentration, team spirit and thousands of hands pressing at the same rhythm.
The initiative wants to encourage more people to learn simple first aid gestures that can help save someone in an emergency situation.
