This Monday (11) he filed a representation with the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina against the businessman, owner of Havan stores, for having published a video on social media using the brand’s products that were subject to sanitary measures from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
The agency ordered the recall and suspension of the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of the brand’s products, after the health inspection identified flaws in quality control processes and risk of contamination.
The case became part of the ideological polarization, with Bolsonaro supporters like Hang defending the products and denouncing persecution of the brand from the left.
According to the PT parliamentarian, Hang publicly used the products, pouring detergent into his kitchen sink while criticizing Anvisa. For the councilor, pre-candidate for federal deputy, the conduct could constitute a health violation.
“What is under discussion is not freedom of opinion, but the encouragement of non-compliance with a health measure adopted by the country’s competent authority. Once again, Bolsonarism transforms a health warning into a political spectacle. We have already seen this in the Covid pandemic and we know that it produces concrete and dangerous effects”, stated Rousseff.
