Favorite Slovak influencer Filip “Jovinečko” Jovanovič in the past, he said that before the presidential elections he was offered 25-30,000 euros for a post on Instagram in which he would support the candidate Petr Pellegrini. At the time, he did not want to specify which of the influencers should have phoned him with this offer, but recently he came with the information that the police summoned him.
The anti-corruption unit was supposed to start investigating suspicions of illegal financing of Pellegrini’s presidential campaign. Jovanovič should have stated before the investigator that in April 2024, influencer Zuzana Strausz Plačková (34) contacted him by phone. The well-known businesswoman should also have added that several well-known personalities will similarly support him. Plačková immediately reacted to these statements and retold her version on Instagram. You can find the full statement
In response, Pellegrini denied paying influencers for their support. “I believe that the police investigation will continue, I absolutely do not oppose it and it will be proven and shown live that someone is lying. Because I did not pay anyone for influencing public opinion through influencers before the election, and I never will,” declared the president.
She has now also commented on this topic Beáta “Bejba” Rusnáková. The participant of the first series of the reality show Ruža pre nevesta thinks that her influencer colleague did not accept it in the end because the amount offered to him was too small. “Jovinečko has a rather high price list, so 30,000 was not enough for him. That’s why he didn’t do it. I think that if they offered him more, he would go for it. He has very well-established companies and businesses that earn him much more,” she assessed.
The former “rose” takes a very pragmatic approach to the issue of paid support and claims that the activity of other influencers before the election was not selfless. “It was obvious that they all had those campaigns paid for. I don’t understand how those people didn’t see it. After all, it was completely clear. Which influencer just gives a shit about politics? I would never publish anything like that for free.” she said flatly.
She also admitted that if she had received an offer, she would have considered it from the sum of 100,000 euros and above, or for an apartment in Bratislava. She would have no remorse for supporting politicians, as she perceives the situation in the state very cynically.
“I don’t follow the political scene at all. Taxes are not falling, mortgage prices are not falling, apartments are expensive, everything is expensive… I think that anyone who would sit there, every single one of them will rob the state and won’t do anything with the prices. The only chance is to move out. Or put up with the way it is here,” concluded Babe.
