The survey shows that, for 46% of those interviewed, the Master case caused widespread image damage, reaching the current governmenta previous managemento Judiciary and the Congress. This number is higher than that presented in March, when 40% of the population had the same opinion.
The survey asked voters to point out which institution or political group emerged with the most tarnished image of the crisis. Look:
- Lula Government: 11% (it was 10% in March);
- STF / Judiciary: 10% (it was 13% in March);
- Previous government (Jair Bolsonaro): 9% (it was 11% in March);
- Banco Central: 7% (it was 5% in March);
- National Congress: 2% (it was 3% in March);
Genial/Quaest reveals public opinion on the Master case
When asked if they knew about the investigations into the Master case involving Ciro Nogueira, 54% of Brazilians said “no”, while 46% They said “yes”.
Methodology
The Genial/Quaest survey was carried out through 2,004 household interviews, between May 8 and 11, 2026. The estimated margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points, with a confidence level of 95%. The survey is registered with the TSE under number BR-03598/2026.
