The “Pro Consumer” association in Lower Austria and state councilor Susanne Rosenkranz warned on Wednesday against dubious emergency craftsman services and door-to-door sales. Dubious providers want to “get as much money as possible from the individual’s emergency situation,” said the FPÖ politician in a press conference. Isabella Mittelstrasser from “Pro Consumerent” advised: “Keep a cool head, clarify prices in advance, rely on verified providers and, if in doubt, call the police.”
