CBF renews contract with Carlo Ancelotti until 2030 – 05/14/2026 – Sport

The CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) announced this Thursday (14) that it renewed the contract with the Brazilian team’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, for another four years, until the 2030 World Cup.

“Ancelotti’s stay at the helm of the Brazilian team — the greatest champion in the history of world football — reflects not only the CBF’s support for the work carried out by the coach, but also the trust he has gained with the squad and the Brazilian fans since his arrival, at the end of May 2025,” the confederation said in a statement.

The Italian has been in charge of the team since May 2025. Next Monday, the 18th, the 26 names will be called up to compete in the World Cup hosted in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

“A year ago I arrived in Brazil. From the first minute, I understood what football means for this country. For a year, we have been working to take the Brazilian team back to the top of the world. But the CBF and I want more. More victories, more time, more work”, said Ancelotti, according to a statement released by the CBF.

“We are very happy to announce that we will continue together for another four years. We will go together until the 2030 World Cup. I want to thank the CBF for their trust. Thank you, Brazil, for the warm welcome and for all the affection,” added Ancelotti.

The president of the confederation, Samir Xaud, said that the renewal represents “another firm step in our commitment to offering the five-time world champion team an increasingly stronger, modern and competitive structure”.

In one year in charge of the national team, Ancelotti managed the team in ten games. There were five wins, two draws and three defeats. The team scored 18 goals and conceded eight.
