Football legend, the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo agreed to purchase a stake in LiveModeTV, international division of LiveMode, the Brazilian company responsible for CazéTV. The information was announced this Thursday, 14.

O Portuguese striker joins the company’s shareholders, created to expand the digital transmission model developed in Brazil to other markets, especially during the 2026 World Cup.

According to the publication, the player acquired a stake considered relevant in the company’s international operations, although the amounts involved in the deal were not revealed.

“A mission is to bring sport to everyone, in a totally new and inspiring way. The andsport can transform lives and we want to enrich this ecosystemexpanding the reach and engagement of major competitions through broadcasts on YouTube and content distributed across all social media platforms,” stated Cristiano Ronaldo.

The first major expansion move will be in Portugal, where the company intends to broadcast 2026 World Cup matches for free on YouTube.

The strategy follows the same model that helped boost CazéTV in Brazil: open sports broadcasts on digital platforms, supported mainly by advertising and commercial agreements, instead of traditional subscriptions.

CazéTV accumulated 3.7 billion views on YouTube alone in 2025. The company claims that 11 of the 16 biggest lives in the platform’s history belong to the sports channel.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival is also seen as an important step in expanding the project’s global reach. The Portuguese is currently the most followed person in the world on Instagramwith more than 660 million followers, in addition to maintaining a strong presence on YouTube and other social networks.

At 41 years old, Cristiano continues to work for Al-Nassr and, in parallel with his career on the pitch, he has been expanding his investments in different areas, including hotels, gyms, his own brands and communication.

Thiago Tourinho, one of LiveMode’s partners, highlighted the importance of the player’s input into the project. “Few people represent the passion, ambition and global reach of the sport as well as he doesand its long-standing connection with new generations of fans makes this partnership even more meaningful,” he highlighted.
