From the truck directly to detention: the police seized 60 kilos of heroin, smugglers face 15 years behind bars

Criminalists from the Slovenian National Bureau of Investigation and several police precincts last week prevented the delivery of 60 kilograms of heroin near the city of Celje. TASR informs about this according to Monday’s report of the STA agency.

A fifty-three-year-old Serb was transporting drugs in a truck from Spain with the aim of handing them over to a 36-year-old Slovenian. Police arrested both and searched their homes. In addition to 60 kilograms of heroin, she secured 50,000 euros in cash.

The men are suspected of illegal drug production and trafficking. If found guilty, they face 5 to 15 years in prison and remain in custody.
