“Diverging is typical of the democratic regime. Weakening the institutions that support it is opening the way to instability and arbitrariness”, said the judge, who also presides over the (National Council of Justice), when swearing in the new members of the body, in a ceremony in Brasília.

The president of the STF also declared that financing false information systematically and for electoral purposes “weakens the institutions, the Powers of the Republic and the social fabric”.
