Trailer for “Dark Horse” shows Adélio torn between knife and gun

A version not based on investigations is in the biopic of the former president; film celebrates the career of Jair Bolsonaro, who is in prison

The senator (PL-RJ) released this Tuesday (May 19, 2026) the trailer for the biopic “Dark Horse”which portrays the life of his father, former president (PL). The feature film presents a fictionalized version of the against the then presidential candidate. The production includes scenes of antagonist characters planning the murder and debating whether to use a knife or gun to carry out the crime.

The conspiracy narrative presented in the film contradicts the conclusions of official investigations. The Federal Police opened 2 main investigations into the episode. Both investigations concluded that Adélio Bispo de Oliveira, author of the crime, motivated by “political nonconformity”without the participation of constituents or organized groups.

In one of the sequences, characters discuss the logistics of the attack. Antagonists evaluate the effectiveness and impact of different types of weapons to eliminate the candidate. In the real attack, carried out during a rally in Juiz de Fora (MG), Adélio Bispo used a knife hidden in a newspaper to stab Bolsonaro in the abdomen.

“If I fire a gun, it will attract attention. It needs to be silent”says the character who represents Adélio in the trailer.

The PF investigations included breaking Adélio’s banking, telephone and telematic confidentiality. The data indicated the absence of transfer of funds from third parties. There was no proof of coordination with criminal factions or political groups for the attack.

The Federal Court considered Adélio unaccountable due to a diagnosis of persistent delusional disorder. He fulfills security measures at the Federal Penitentiary of Campo Grande (MS).

The release of the trailer came days after audios between the senator and the founder of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, were made public. The scheduled date for the film’s official release in theaters has not been specified.

REVIEW THE CASE

Leaked messages and audio from the conversation between Flávio Bolsonaro and Daniel Vorcaro showed that the owner of Master to finance the production of “Dark Horse”.

According to the text, Vorcaro paid R$61 million in February and May 2025. The transfers were directed to the Havengate Development Fund LP, located in Texas, United States. Paulo Calixto, Eduardo’s lawyer, is among the fund’s agents.

Eduardo Bolsonaro on his Instagram profile to have received money from Vorcaro for the film. Regarding Paulo Calixto’s office, Eduardo stated that “the office only takes care of the bureaucratic, financial and legal management of resources” and said that he was the one who introduced Calixto to Mário Frias “for knowing your competence”.

O Poder360 tried to contact Paulo Calixto, but was unsuccessful in finding a valid phone number or email to inform him about the content of this report.

On November 16, 2025, Flávio demanded the transfer of the remainder of the promised resources. He referred to Master’s founder as “brother” and declared that he would be by his side “Always”. The following day, Vorcaro was arrested by the Federal Police in Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates financial fraud.

“I did not offer advantages in return. I did not promote private meetings outside the agenda. I did not broker business with the government. I did not receive money or any advantage”said Flávio in response to the report.

The documents shown by the report indicate that the former president’s biographical film had a . The estimated value is between US$23 million and US$26 million — an amount that corresponds to the amount negotiated by Flávio Bolsonaro with Vorcaro: US$24 million.

The comparison is based on 2 values ​​published by Intercept: The 1st is the amount already transferred: US$ 10.6 million, or R$ 61 million in the quotation for the transfer periods. The 2nd is the total negotiated by Vorcaro to finance the production: US$24 million, around R$134 million at the time. There is no evidence, according to the website, that the rest of the money was transferred.
