US to host G20 trade ministers meeting from end of September

US trade representative Jamieson Greer will host a meeting of G20 trade ministers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from September 30 to October 1, his office said on Tuesday, 19.

According to a statement, the meeting will address a wide range of issues, including the end of forced labor, updating the Most Favored Nation (MFN) principle, denouncing the instrumentalization of food trade and tackling structural excess capacity and production.

“The Trump administration looks forward to working with our G20 partners to establish a global trading order based on fair, reciprocal and balanced trade,” Greer said.

Subsequently, on December 14th and 15th, US President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold the G20 leaders’ summit in Miami, Florida, at the Trump National Doral.
