Caiado: Contaminated by Vorcaro cannot be president – 05/20/2026 – Politics

In the midst of the case, the former governor of Goiás and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic () cited this Wednesday (20) the former banker, owner of, and said that “the person who is infected does not have the height to sit in the chair of the Presidency of the Republic”.

“[Vemos] Vorcaro contaminating all powers. And we are experiencing this institutional disorder of power today”, stated Caiado at the March of Mayors, which is organized by the CNM (National Confederation of Municipalities).

Last Wednesday (13), Intercept Brasil revealed that Vorcaro was financing the film Dark Horse, a(PL).

Flávio admitted to having dealt with the banker, but classified the negotiation as part of a private investment relationship, without any promise of compensation. “[O que falei] is that these are conditions for exercising the role of president. When you don’t set an example of course correction, Brazil will continue the way it is. This is up to everyone who runs for President”, said the pre-candidate.

Caiado avoided taking a position on the end of , a topic that , but said that the agenda was on track to be approved with almost unanimous support.

The former governor defended a model in which the worker and the boss negotiate the number of hours worked, without detailing how it would work. “I have defended all my life that each citizen has the right to work as many hours as he wants,” he stated. “[O trabalhador procura o empresário e diz] ‘look, I propose to work in your company; I commit so many days a week, so many hours a day.”

In defending the proposal, Caiado repeats his rival Flávio Bolsonaro, who this Tuesday (19) called the discussion about the end of the 6×1 scale legitimate, but, and said he defended the negotiation of working hours between worker and businessman. “Remuneration per hour worked brings freedom, increased income and protection”, stated Flávio.

In the plenary session of the March of Mayors, Caiado gave an opening speech lasting 42 minutes, despite the president of the CNM, Paulo Roberto Ziulkoski, giving five minutes for the presidential candidate to make his speech.

The organization even tried to interrupt the politician at the end of the regulation time, but was interrupted by shouts of “let him speak”. Caiado spoke about combating criminal factions, public health, school meals and highway construction.
