Influencer and lawyer was preventively detained on suspicion of money laundering for the PCC
The digital influencer and lawyer, 38 years old, is detained at the Sant’Ana Women’s Penitentiary, in the North Zone of São Paulo. It is the largest female prison unit in the State. According to data from SAP (Secretary of Penitentiary Administration), the unit operates above full capacity. Although it has spaces for 2,686 inmates, it housed at least 2,825 women on Thursday (May 21, 2026), the date of Deolane’s preventive arrest during operation Vérnix, which investigates a million-dollar money laundering scheme linked to the criminal faction PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital).
Opened on December 8, 2005, the Sant’Ana Penitentiary has an area of 108 thousand square meters and houses inmates in a closed regime. The unit is located on Avenida General Ataliba Leonel, approximately 500 meters from the site of the former Carandiru Penitentiary Complex, demolished in 2002 and the scene of the massacre of 111 inmates in 1992. Currently, the prison is adjacent to Parque da Juventude.
According to SAP, the complex has 5-storey pavilions, 6 warehouses for work workshops and buildings for special cells, kitchen, bakery, school, in addition to the administrative sector. Around the prison unit there is a wall approximately 1,450 meters long.
INVESTIGATION
The investigation that resulted in the investigation began in 2019, after that of notes with inmates at Penitentiary 2 in Presidente Venceslau (SP). The manuscripts mentioned a “carrier woman” that would assist in the faction’s actions. The information led investigators to investigate the use of a logistics company as a front to move resources from the PCC leadership.
The Court ordered protective measures against those investigated, including:
- Blocking of R$27 million in the name of Deolane Bezerra;
- Total financial blockage of R$357.5 million, including all targets;
- Hijacking of 39 vehicles valued at more than R$8 million.
Investigators claim that the influencer received R$1,067,505 in fractional deposits, always in amounts below R$10,000, from 2018 to 2021. In addition, around 50 transfers were identified to two Deolane companies totaling R$716,000. The police claim to have not found legal services to justify the movements.
DEOLANE BEZERRA
Born in Vitória de Santo Antão (PE), Deolane worked as a bag collector before graduating in Law and opening an office with her sisters. Working in the criminal area, he defended those accused of links to organized crime. Won the label of “PCC lawyer”a term she always rejected.
The influencer gained national recognition in 2021 after that of her then partner, funk artist MC Kevin. The artist fell from the balcony of a hotel in Rio de Janeiro. With more than 21 million followers, Deolane participated in the reality show “The Farm” and a luxury routine in , with imported jewelry and cars. Politically, (PT) during the 2022 campaign, declaring public support for the PT member.
OTHER SIDE
In a statement issued on Thursday night (May 21, 2026), Deolane Bezerra’s defense stated that the influencer is innocent and that the facts will be clarified at the appropriate time. The lawyers considered the measures set by the Court as “disproportionate” and declared that they will continue to cooperate to demonstrate the legality of Deolane’s professional activities. Daniele Bezerra, the lawyer’s sister, said on social media that the arrest represents a “persecution” against the family.
