The President of the United States, (Republican Party), this Thursday (May 21, 2026) that the country will send another 5,000 soldiers to Poland. The statement, made through a publication on the social network Truth Social, comes 2 days after the American vice-president, having informed in a conversation with journalists on Tuesday (May 19) that the deployment of troops had been postponed, according to the report from .
“Based on the successful election of the current President of Poland, which I was proud to support, and in our relationship with him, I am pleased to announce that the US will send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland.”said Trump.
Nawrocki responded to Trump’s announcement on his official X profile. to the American president “for friendship with Poland and for decisions whose practical impact we see very clearly today”.
The Polish president added: “I stand and will continue to stand in the guard of the Polish-American alliance – an important pillar of security in every Polish home and across Europe.”.
